If you watch any TV at all, you might recognize this song from one of the new Zune commercials. Rogue Wave has been performing their new track "Lake Michigan" off of Asleep At Heaven's Gate for a few months now. I guess the Zune ad agency was looking for that same style of dreamy indie-pop sound, because in their other new Zune commercial, they spotlight a band who's been most accredited to contributing to Rogue Wave's sound, The Shins, with their track "Sleeping Lessons" off of Wincing the Night Away.
The song's style and feel is quite common among the rest of Rogue Wave's collection, so check them out if you like what you hear. The verse and chorus have such a catchy hook, its clear to see how it could be used to grasp your attention on just a 30 second tv spot. While I usually dont like profiling songs that are TV or from other movies/tv shows, I couldn't quite resist this time.
