Taking a gander to the upper-rightish portion of the page here at soquitcherbitchen, you will notice a difference in appearance for our little countdown timer. At the time of this post, there are only 18 days until the release of one of the most epic fan vids of all time: The World Is Daft.
A gentleman by the name of Matt B (and possibly the biggest Daft Punk fan in the world) is making a DVD from the Daft Punk Alive concert that took place in Paris on June 14, 2007. Being released now a year later, the DVD he is directing consists of the entire concert from the perspective of over 4 dozen other fans and attendees of the show. The raw footage (meaning much better quality than that of youtube vids) has all been synced to the master track from the concert, and originally amounted to over 35 GB of material.
He has a website up and running, and has been releasing teaser clips every so often. I'll be sure to keep you posted on new teasers, and especially for the release (which is going to be free from what I hear), but for now, give his site a visit and enjoy the clips he's posted so far of the greatest show of all time.
