That's right mutha flippas... we got a big storm coming thru this halloween weekend in the second city. Those of us Chicagoians (ages 17 and up) will be able to check out not 1 headliner (Chromeo), not 2 headliners (Crystal Castles), but 3 effin' ace acts (Boys Noize) on the stage in one night.
I've seen Boys Noize before and he alone is worth the stage time and ticket price as he's the BEST DJ I'VE EVER SEEN. What he does with a pair of pioneer CDJ's is like watching MacGyver diffuse a nuclear warhead with a piece of string a last sunday's USA Today. Precision, execution, and the ability to reel in a crowd with unique tracks even for the most electro-schooled of us.
So down to the nitty gritty (NOT fine print mind you). I've got one pair of tickets to give away (read: two tickets). Let the post title speak for itself. LA Riots just released a mixtape compilation made up entirely of their own remixes. Not too shabby if you ask me. They'll be doing a series of these with the second volume coming out in a few weeks.

Predicting a killing at Smartbar
You will probably be dead to me if you dont attend the FREE (that means it has a global monetary value of nothing) show featuring Bloody Beetroots, LA Riots, and Felix Cartal tomorrow night (evening of the 23rd pending when you read this). [link]
Any of those solo should be reason enough, but all three together should be a no excuse reason to suck it up and go to work (or school for some of you slackers) a little hungover the next day. This'll be their Bloody Beetroots' 3rd trip to chitown in the last 2 months... so who knows when they'll be back again, if ever!!! (if the showing is poor, i'll never forgive any of you).

EDIT: Lets see... the show was absolutely amazing... but the crowd, not so much. While the few that were there were genuinely wanting to see LA Riots and Bloody Beetroots, poor Felix Cartal was mixing for an empty floor. Horrible promotion dept for whomever was in charge. This show should've had a line around Wrigley. Missed opportunity. Anyways, a list of notable tracks I remember.

Bloody Beetroots & LA Riots encore...

When MSTRKRFT strolled into down last month, they brought with them west coast rippers LA Riots, and the best italian duo with spiderman masks, The Bloody Beetroots. Many at the show will say that these two even upstaged the canadian headliners (for the record, I should note that every set there was phenomenal, and to see each artist on your own if you get the chance).
Well they're both on their way back to the windy city at the end of this month on the Scion A/V Release Tour. They're gonna rip Smartbar a new acehole along side Felix Cartal next week on April 23rd.

When you have one of the best electronic albums of 2007, you are undoubtedly going to have a fair share of remixes. With singles like D.A.N.C.E, DVNO, and Waters of Nazareth, Justice provided easy fodder for remixers across the globe for some bangin' tracks.
