I missed the bus with a proper countdown of our top tracks and remixes of this year... so instead I'll drop to you all my favorite 'hearted' tracks from hypem this year. Since there's no denying the power of hype machine in moving tracks into (and out of) the popular scene... its normally a good indicator of influential tracks. A1 + Ace Bassline
More new ish from A1 Bassline, this time mixing the eff out of Frankmusik, Ghost Frequency, and Little Boots. I love how Christian instead of throwing together a half-assed remix and sending it over in some zshare link... will instead collect toegether a good half dozen solid tracks with that same familiar bassline sound we all love in that up tempo-dubstep-hybrid genre (all in ace 320 kbs bitches).

And here it is! Number One! How many of you could've guessed it? Little Boots had a tremendous year exploding on the scene with her Tenori-On by her side. Live performances and youtube video's allowed the world to fall in love with her talent. And even more fortunately, a slew of remixes gave her voice an even wider scope of listeners.
What is it about 'mysterious' producer/remixer this year? Have the worlds best all secretly been involved in side projects? Maybe they are all machines that have gained consciousness and now create white hot magma? Whatever it is, or whoever they are, Fake Blood is the best at it.
And you know that little 'Fake Blood' vocal work they include in all of their remixes? That's all taken from individual sound samples from the original track. That's not Little Boots saying 'Fake Blood' before the break, but instead probably dozens of vocal syllable samples and mixed it together perfectly.

Do Something This Weekend...
Bitches... there are waaaay too many good shows this weekend. Tonight you have Flossy playing at Sonotheque, Designer effin' Drugs at Congress Theater, and Zebo at the Evil Olive, etc. Then tomorrow Sinden comes to Sonotheque thanks to Dark Wave, and then Potty Mouth resident Bushido hits Smartbar alongside Bald Eagle.
All that and I didn't even mention a little UK electropop band known to the public as Hot Chip. Yea they're playing two shows at the Metro and then doing a DJ set in the catacombs underneath at Smartbar on Sunday (link to a shit load of remixes at The Lemur Blog).
So there you go... nobody should have any excuse to not get out and see some good effin electro. NO EXCUSES PLAY LIKE A CHAMPION!
